Ms. Hicken-Lloyd began college as a pre-med student before discovering her passion for psychology.

Ms. Hicken-Lloyd’s dedication extends beyond clinical work into civic engagement and creative pursuits. She founded Color Me a Rainbow, a developing nonprofit that provides rent-free housing and therapeutic services for individuals recovering from trauma. She also established a support group that has grown from serving the Dallas area to nearly 300 members worldwide, reaching as far as Australia. This group has become a global community of healing, offering hope to individuals facing despair. Born in Van Nuys, California, Ms. Hicken-Lloyd cherishes motherhood above all else, considering her four children her greatest achievement. Each child’s accomplishments are sources of pride. In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Hicken-Lloyd enjoys playing pickleball, ping pong and tennis; dancing; attending concerts; gardening; listening to music; cooking; and especially enjoys her puppy, Copper; who someday will be a Therapy Dog.
